World Cup Challenge: Submit Your Club Success Plan & Vision
The District 17 World Cup Challenge is off to a fantastic start, and I have been inspired by the enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment shown by clubs across the District.
Designed to encourage the activities that support a successful club year — including Club Officer Training, Pathways achievements, membership growth, Club Vision submissions, and team spirit — the challenge is already creating excitement and bringing clubs together.
More Than Just Points
What excites me most is that this challenge is not really about winning points. It is about building stronger clubs and creating better experiences for our members.
Every Pathways award represents personal growth. Every trained club officer helps strengthen their club. Every new member welcomed through our doors brings fresh energy and new opportunities.
These are the actions that help clubs grow and thrive.
The Power of Teamwork
One of the greatest lessons so far has been seeing the power of teamwork.
Clubs do not need to be large to be successful. By competing within membership-based tiers, every club has an equal opportunity to shine.
The clubs making the biggest impact are those where members work together, celebrate achievements, support each other, and take consistent action towards their goals.
Success is not created by one person. It happens when everyone plays their part.
There Is Still Time to Get Involved
If your club has not yet participated, there is still plenty of time to join the challenge.
Whether your focus is completing officer training, recognising member achievements, developing your Club Vision (by 10th August), your Club Success Plan (by 23rd August) or growing your membership, every action counts.

The finish line is still in sight! The challenge concludes on 23 August, which means there is still time to climb the leaderboard, earn valuable points, and make a meaningful difference for your club.
