Toastmasters Guided Hike – From Trivia Prize to Unforgettable Adventure!
A prize from last year’s Toastmasters Trivia Night became an unforgettable outdoor adventure.
On 12 July 2026, Maria Reekova gathered a group of friends to redeem her guided hike prize. Toastmaster and experienced hike leader Mariana Paliu led the group through the stunning John Forrest National Park. Together, they covered about 15 kilometres while exploring one of Western Australia’s oldest national parks.
The walk offered much more than beautiful scenery. The group wandered through towering eucalyptus forests, admired sweeping valley views, and learned about the park’s rich history. Along the way, they shared stories, enjoyed plenty of laughter, and stopped often to capture the spectacular views.
The day reminded everyone that Toastmasters friendships continue well beyond club meetings. Walking side by side created the perfect setting for meaningful conversations, new friendships, and shared experiences.
The adventure was such a success that another hike is already planned for 1 August. More Toastmasters and friends will have the chance to explore another beautiful Western Australian trail together.
Activities like these show that Toastmasters is about more than communication and leadership. It is also about building lasting friendships, supporting one another, and creating memorable experiences.
