Toastmasters Giving Back to Our Local Environment and Community
Toastmasters helps people become better speakers and stronger leaders. It also inspires members to make a positive difference beyond the meeting room.
On 21 June 2026, members from Canning Vale Toastmasters and Harrisdale Piara Waters Toastmasters put that purpose into action. They joined the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group for a rewarding morning of environmental service.
Together, they planted native trees and plants along the river in Gosnells. Their work will help restore the natural environment, protect local wildlife, and create a greener future for the community.
The project also brought members from both clubs together. They worked side by side, shared conversations, and strengthened friendships while making a lasting contribution to the local area.
Community service is another way Toastmasters members develop leadership. It encourages teamwork, planning, and collaboration while creating a positive impact outside the club. Activities like these remind us that leadership is not only about speaking well. It is also about serving others and taking action.
The enthusiasm shown by both clubs reflects the values that make Toastmasters such a supportive organisation. Every tree planted represents a small act of service that will benefit future generations.
