District 17 (Western Australia) of Toastmasters International is the organisation that represents Toastmasters clubs in all of Western Australia.

Regions
A region is a geographic grouping of Districts. There are 14 Regions worldwide with an elected International Director and an appointed Region Advisor, each supporting their Districts.
District 17 is in Region 12, which includes:
- District 17 (Western Australia)
- District 69 (Queensland, Northern Territory & Papua New Guinea)
- District 70 (NSW & ACT)
- District 72 (New Zealand)
- District 73 (Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania)
- District 87 (Indonesia, Brunei and Southern Malaysia)
- District 90 (NSW)
- District 112 (New Zealand North Island)
Districts
A District is a geographic area established by the Board of Directors of Toastmasters International. There are 124 Districts worldwide.
District 17's geographic area covers all of Western Australia.
The Mission of the District is:
"We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence."
Clubs
A core unit of the Toastmasters organisation is the club, typically made up of 20 to 30 members. There are over 16,200 clubs in 145 countries. (as at July 2021)
The mission of a Toastmasters club is:
"We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth."
Members
The participants - and benefactors - of the entire organisation. There are currently over 364,000 members worldwide with about 1,000 residing in District 17. (July 2021)
District 17: Western Australia
Every hierarchical level within Toastmasters exists solely to improve the activities offered by the Toastmasters program and facilitate the implementation of these programs. The primary role of each of the levels is to serve and support the efforts of the level below it, ultimately leading to the individual member.
Divisions
A group of 4 to 6 Areas supported by a Division Director and Division council made up of Area Directors. In 2022 there are 4 Divisions in District 17.
- Central
- Eastern
- Northern
- Southern
Each of these Divisions, in turn, consists of four to six Areas, which are made up of a group of four to six Toastmasters Clubs.
Areas
A group of 4 to 6 clubs supported by an area director and area council made up of club officers. There are 17 Areas in District 17. (July 2022)
The mission of the Area is to provide district contact, support and services to the club so that the club may in turn fulfil its responsibilities to its members.
Clubs
A core unit of the Toastmasters organisation typically made up of 20 to 30 members. There are 73 Clubs in District 17. (July 2022)
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
