Pathways Enhancements
Exciting Changes Ahead: 2025 Pathways Enhancements Launching This October

Toastmasters International is rolling out significant enhancements to the Pathways learning experience starting late October 2025. These updates are designed to elevate member engagement, strengthen club quality and deepen leadership development across all clubs.
The enhancements introduce new requirements at each level of the six currently available English paths—Dynamic Leadership, Engaging Humour, Motivational Strategies, Persuasive Influence, Presentation Mastery, and Visionary Communication. Members will now be required to complete specific meeting roles and deliver presentations from the Toastmasters Education Series as part of their Pathways journey.
Meeting roles such as Table Topics Speaker, Evaluator, Toastmaster and General Evaluator will be progressively required from Level 1 through Level 5. These roles must be completed within the corresponding level and tracked via Base Camp profiles. In addition, members will present from the Successful Club Series, Better Speaker Series and Leadership Excellence Series, with each series introduced at Levels 3, 4 and 5 respectively. These presentations, typically 10–15 minutes long, offer valuable insights into club operations, speech development, and leadership growth.
To support club officers in navigating these changes, Maree Pickens, Program Quality Director for District 17, will host a special online workshop on Friday, 31 October from 5:45pm to 7:00pm via Zoom. This session is tailored for Club Officers, especially Presidents and VP Education, Membership and Public Relations and will include:
- A clear overview of the Pathways enhancements and their rationale
- Live demo of the changes in Pathways
- Guidance on tracking member progress and integrating longer speeches
- A Q&A segment for your burning issues
- Three Guest presentations from the Toastmasters Education Series
The workshop is an excellent opportunity for club leaders to prepare for the rollout and ensure their clubs are ready to embrace the new standards. Officers will leave equipped with practical strategies to support members, foster mentorship and maintain vibrant, high-quality meetings.
These enhancements reflect Toastmasters’ commitment to continuous improvement and member success. By encouraging broader participation and deeper learning, the updated Pathways experience promises to enrich every member’s journey.
