Kaya Toastmasters Club Makes History With its First Table Topics Contest
What a night to remember! Kaya Toastmasters Club proudly hosted its very first Table Topics Contest, marking an incredible milestone in our club’s journey. The room was filled with excitement, energy, and that unmistakable family camaraderie that makes Toastmasters more than just a club—it’s a community.
We had an impressive 11 brave contestants step up to the challenge. Each participant brought their own spark, courage, and creativity to the stage, tackling the thought-provoking question: “Will treasure bring happiness?”
Guided seamlessly by our wonderful Contest Chair, Juliana Kelly, and supported by the leadership of our Chief Judge, Mariana Paliu, along with six outstanding judges, the contest was run with the highest standard of fairness and professionalism. Every speech was unique, powerful, and showcased the true Toastmasters spirit of thinking on your feet.
The results were as inspiring as the contest itself, with the winners separated by only the narrowest margin of points. First place went to Santi Sceresini, who captivated the audience with her clarity and conviction. Second place was awarded to Bernard Tampubolon, whose delivery brought strength and warmth. Third place went to one of our newest members, Sabrina Sceresini, proving that even the freshest voices can shine brightly under the spotlight.
This contest was not only about competition but about growth, courage, and celebration. Every participant walked away as a winner, having stretched their skills and inspired the audience.
What an incredible evening—it was truly history in the making for Kaya Toastmasters. With this success, we are set to grow even stronger, together as one family, one voice, and one vibrant club.
