Changes to New Member Fees 2025

Dear Club Officer,
As you may have already heard, the Board of Directors announced during the August Board Briefing that the new member fee will increase to $25 USD on October 1, 2025. This one-time fee supports administrative costs, Base Camp system access, and provides new members with their first path. The fee has remained unchanged for 20 years, predating our current online engagement system, making this adjustment necessary to continue providing quality member support and services.
You can help your club prepare for this change in the following ways:
- Throw away printed membership applications by September 30, as they reference the previous fee amount. Print new applications if your club prefers to have them on hand.
2. Update any digital or print club materials that reference the new member fee. This may include:
- Templates that have the PDF version of the membership application attached
- Fliers
- Social media pages
d. Websites
If your club, or one you support, is in the process of chartering and has already brought together members, you may wish to proceed with chartering soon to take advantage of the existing $20 USD new member fee.
