District 17 Awards Night – Friday 2 August

We are excited to celebrate excellence at Toastmasters District 17 Awards Night on August 2^nd at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Hay St Perth. It’s an extra special night highlighting Toastmasters District 17’s exceptional achievers across the past two Toastmaster's years - 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. We'll be awarding the Toastmaster of the Year, District Officer of the Year and Club of the Year as well as individual member and club awards in each Division.

We'll also be honouring the outstanding clubs that have achieved excellence in the Distinguished Club Program in 2023-2024.

What is the Distinguished Club Program?

The Toastmasters Distinguished Club Program (DCP) is an annual program that recognizes club achievements in education, membership growth, club leadership, and communication.

1. It runs from July 1 through June 30 each year
2. The program consists of 10 goals for clubs to achieve:
   1. 6 education goals related to members completing Pathways levels
   2. 2 membership goals for adding new members
   3. 1 officer training goal
   4. 1 administration goal for submitting dues and officers on time
3. To be eligible for recognition, clubs must have either 20 members or a net growth of at least 3 new members by June 30[
4. Clubs can earn three levels of recognition based on how many goals they achieve:
   1. Distinguished Club: 5 out of 10 goals
   2. Select Distinguished Club: 7 out of 10 goals
   3. President's Distinguished Club: 9 out of 10 goals
5. The DCP helps clubs measure their success and provides targets to strengthen the organization
6. Progress toward DCP goals can be tracked online through the Toastmasters International website
7. The program aims to enhance member experiences by encouraging clubs to provide quality service and leadership opportunities.

By focusing on these goals, the DCP helps Toastmasters clubs create an environment that supports member growth and achievement.

Distinguished Clubs in 2023-2024

This year we exceeded our target with a record breaking 25 clubs achieving Distinguished or better. See which clubs achieved President’s Distinguished, Select Distinguished and Distinguished in 2023-2024. May these and many more clubs in District 17 achieve Distinguished or better in 2024-2025. We can do it!!
