Habla Toastmasters Club — We Beat the Clock & Made History! 

In a thrilling race against time, Habla Toastmasters Club officially chartered on 30 June 2024, just before the EOFY deadline — and yes, it was as dramatic as it sounds!

With 13 members already committed, we needed 7 more on the final day. Phones were buzzing, WhatsApp was on fire, and our Growth Area Director was on standby like mission control at NASA and also helping along the way as many other volunteers and District officers. One by one, members said “YES” — and just before midnight, we submitted everything. 25 in total more than expected. 8 dual members, 4 reinstated and 13 brand new to the cult of Toastmasters. It was nail-biting, last-minute, adrenaline running in our bodies, and glorious.

But it was all worth it — because Habla Toastmasters is now the first-ever Hispanic bilingual club in Australia! A space where courage speaks louder than fear and where Spanish accents are music to our ears.

We now stand proudly with 25 founding members, representing the power of voice, culture, and community.
