Trivia Night Fiesta

Congratulations to Zoom Masters who earned first prize at our Trivia Night Fiesta on 9th November. They walked away with eight vouchers for massages, restaurants, hairdressing and much more! Congratulations also to Mount Hawthorn, our runners up who won fabulous Toastmasters merchandise.

Anna Pickens accepts the winners’ prizes on behalf of Zoom Masters. Congratulations!
Aspire Toastmasters worked together to make this fun evening happen. We all stepped out of our comfort zone to get prizes and find a venue that would accommodate 20 tables of eight, with good acoustics and quality audio-visual facilities. We also organised insurance, a security guard and considered all possible issues. Alex Norvilas had an effective idea that each team member should do what they enjoy/are good at for the evening to be a success. E.g. welcoming guests, emceeing, operating the PowerPoint, decorating the venue, etc.

Our goals were for the Trivia Night to include variety, be fun, move steadily, project warmth, have good acoustics and an effective audio-visual system.

I think all guests will agree that our hosts, Priyanka Kashib and Alex Norvilas did a fabulous job of entertaining everyone and kept the evening moving in an interesting and fun way.

Alex and Priyanka, our sparkling hosts!
Ivan Mendez, Sergeant-at-Arms for the evening, gave us a warm welcome and organised two fun games in between rounds. ‘Keep it Up’ had contestants juggling five balloons each to see who could keep them in the air the longest. Our paper plane competition showed a wealth of talent as planes soared to the back of the function hall!

Ivan explains the rules!

Look out! Low flying planes!
Thank you to all clubs who donated wine for the wine wall. All wine was sold and we broke with tradition and let guests buy and consume throughout the evening.

Please support our fabulous sponsors below. Their generosity in donating a wealth and variety of prizes ensured that a fun evening was had by all.
