Festive Fun and Creative Sparks at Toasting Human Energy’s Christmas Meeting
On Tuesday, 9 December, Toasting Human Energy hosted a festive Christmas meeting at Chevron in Elizabeth Quay, bringing together several members for a lunchtime meeting of fun, laughter, and creativity. This special event was made even more memorable by the presence of Anton Kroger, VP Education of our sister club, Terrace Talkers. Anton delighted the audience with his award-winning humorous speech, “Excuse Me”, which earned him first place at the C3 Area Contest.

The meeting featured a spread of festive treats, including juicy cherries, Krispy Kreme Christmas donuts, and cookies—perfect fuel for the lively activities that followed. Table Topics took on a unique twist with an interactive challenge inspired by City of Perth’s ‘Topic Thunder.’ Each participant wrote three separate post-it notes: their name, a Christmas-themed topic, and a delivery style. One hilarious example combined ‘Tell us about your favourite Christmas present’ with ‘in a cartoon voice.’ The results were side-splitting and showcased the creativity and adaptability that Toastmasters is known for.
This activity stretched everyone’s imagination and left the room buzzing with energy and laughter. It was a fantastic way to close out the year and strengthen the bond between our club and Terrace Talkers. And here’s the best part—you don’t have to wait until next Christmas to try it! Add this fun twist to your next meeting and watch your members shine.
