Exciting New Toastmasters Clubs in the Pipeline Across District 17

Growing Stronger: District 17’s Club-Building Momentum
Toastmasters District 17 is experiencing a surge of energy and expansion, with multiple new clubs progressing steadily through the club-building pipeline. This momentum reflects our District’s commitment to serving diverse communities, strengthening leadership pathways, and creating more speaking opportunities for all our members.
Our newest club, City of Fremantle Toastmasters, has officially chartered—an outstanding achievement and a powerful start to the new Toastmasters year. Hot on its heels are two more clubs nearing the finish line:
- Sangam Tamil Toastmasters – a bilingual Tamil–English community club, and
- Technology Toastmasters – an English-speaking community club designed for WA’s growing tech sector.
District 17’s multicultural strength continues to shine with Carpathian Toastmasters, a bilingual English–Romanian club hosting its demo meeting in late November. They will soon be joined by our newest bilingual initiative: an English–Kannada club holding its demo meeting in December—promising a warm, culturally vibrant addition to our Toastmasters family.
Behind the scenes, early-stage community projects in City of Canning, City of Wanneroo, and a possible Woodside corporate club highlight something important:
Western Australia wants more Toastmasters.
And we are rising to meet that demand.
Why This Matters
Every new club strengthens our District—creating more speaking slots, more leadership opportunities, and more chances for members to grow. Club building is not just about numbers; it’s about impact, belonging, and ensuring that every community has access to the life-changing benefits of Toastmasters.
How You Can Be Part of This Growth
District 17 welcomes members who are passionate about helping new clubs succeed. If you belong to—or care about—a community, workplace, or cultural group that could benefit from its own Toastmasters club, we would love to hear from you.
