Matagarup Bridge Walk 2026_Connect
Walk. Connect. Arrive Ready.
No Table Topics. No speeches. Just connection.
A couple of weeks before the Bridge to the Future conference, join District 17 Toastmasters for a relaxed and social walk across the iconic Matagarup Bridge.
This isnβt a meeting.
Itβs a moment to reconnect β with each other, with our community, and with why we joined Toastmasters in the first place.

Why this walk?
Not every Toastmasters moment happens behind a lectern.
Before the conference begins, we create space for something just as important β connection.
As we walk together across the bridge, we:
- Step away from structure and pressure
- Share conversations that matter
- Strengthen the relationships that make our clubs thrive
This is the unofficial start to conference season β and everyone is welcome.
A place of connection
The Matagarup Bridge is more than a landmark.
For the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, it represents connection and unity β a coming together of people and stories.
That same spirit lives within Toastmasters.
Different backgrounds. Different journeys.
One shared commitment to growth.
