From Quickstart to Convention: District 17 on the Rise!
As we approach the Gala Awards Evening to celebrate the achievements of the past year, there’s a palpable sense of pride and momentum across Toastmasters District 17. Our journey for 2025/26 has been nothing short of inspiring – a testament to the power of leadership, connection and community.
Training That Transforms
Our District Officer Training sessions in July and August have laid the foundation for a year of excellence. Officers emerged not only equipped with tools and strategies, but also deeply connected through shared values of friendship, collaboration, and empowerment. These sessions sparked a wave of engagement, with Area and Division Directors actively reaching out to clubs, supporting members, and igniting enthusiasm across the District.
Quickstart 1-2-3: A Campaign of Impact
One of our standout initiatives — the Quickstart 1-2-3 campaign — has been a game-changer. Designed to help clubs hit the ground running, this campaign encouraged early goal-setting, officer training, and member engagement. With the finish line in sight, clubs are racing to collect final points by the August 23 finish line. The results so far? Increased participation, stronger club foundations, and progress in pathways completions. Check the leaderboard for the status of your club.
Celebrating Excellence
In 2024/2025, District 17 reached a milestone we’ve long aspired to: President’s Distinguished District status! That’s right — thanks to the tireless efforts of our leaders and members, we’ve earned a place among the top-performing districts globally. And we’re not stopping there.
