Jessica Gough

Jessica Gough is a dynamic Producer, Performer, MC, and Celebrant - a WAAPA alumni and the proud President of Toasting Human Energy’s Toastmasters Club.

With a career that blends creativity, stagecraft, and people-focused leadership, Jessica brings a unique combination of performance expertise and human connection to every room she steps into.

Her background in producing and performing has shaped her into a confident, engaging communicator, while her work as an MC and celebrant reflects her ability to bring stories to life and make people feel seen, comfortable, and inspired.

As a Toastmasters leader, she champions growth, as well as fun and supportive learning, creating spaces where speakers of all levels can build confidence and discover their voice.

Jessica’s workshops are energetic, practical, and full of heart.

Ben Brearley

Ben Brearley is a leadership coach, facilitator and the founder of Thoughtful Leader, where he helps thoughtful, reflective leaders grow their confidence and lead effectively without pretending to be someone they’re not.

Ben worked in corporate leadership roles for more than 15 years before realising that he liked the "people stuff" more than "delivering stuff", which is when he transitioned into leadership development and coaching. 

Ben's is passionate about helping more thoughtful, people-focused leaders rise to the top of our organisations, to create better places to work. He is an active member at St Georges Toastmasters club and lives in Perth, WA. 

Nicolo Ricucci

Nicolo Ricucci is a Queensland‑based IT professional and the founder of Scarlett AI. His work focuses on practical, human‑centred AI training, helping everyday users and small teams build confidence with tools like Microsoft Copilot and GPT through clear, accessible guidance.

Known for his plain‑English approach, with Italian flair, and emphasis on responsible, real‑world adoption of AI, Nicolo works across Brisbane and surrounding regions to support individuals and organisations looking to use technology more effectively. His mission is simple: reduce overwhelm, build capability and make modern AI tools genuinely useful for the people who rely on them.

All this was possible when he stepped up to present for the company he still works for while he builds his own business. Mount Hawthorn Toastmasters in Perth gave him the courage and the skills to step onto the corporate stage and he's excited about the future ahead.

Maggie Hakkou

Maggie Hakkou is a Toastmaster and HR specialist with 20 years of international recruitment experience spanning the UK & EU, APAC, Japan and Australia. Her career includes extensive work across technical and specialist sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy Transition and Defence, giving her a nuanced understanding of how talent grows and thrives in complex industries.

Known for her warm communication style and practical, people‑centred approach, Maggie brings a wealth of real‑world insight to every conversation. She is passionate about helping professionals navigate networking with confidence, avoid common missteps, and build the long‑term relationships that fuel career momentum.

Drawing on her current work as a Talent Acquisition Lead supporting the energy transition, Maggie is deeply engaged in helping organisations identify outstanding talent and foster genuinely inclusive workplaces. She frequently shares insights from events such as Diversity and Inclusion Summits, highlighting the importance of mutuality, psychological safety and community‑building in modern workplaces.
